People's deputy from the banned in Ukraine OPZZH party Yuriy Boyko has still not been stripped of the title of Hero of Ukraine, which was given to him by the former President Leonid Kuchma.
U.S. Army Lieutenant Andriy Gaidai initiated a petition to strip Boyko of his rank, as of November 18, the petition had already gathered 25,000 votes.
It should be noted that on November 16, the State Power Committee supported the draft law of the Cabinet of Ministers, which envisages removing the powers of deputies of local councils who were elected from pro-Russian parties. The Council also registered draft law No. 6163, according to which persons who publicly supported the annexation of Crimea, justified the occupation of Ukrainian territories, publicly denied Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, popularized the leadership of the aggressor state, and should be deprived of state awards.
